Discover how easy it is to provide your guests with great WiFi and join the fast growing community of parks that are already doing the same.
Have you thought about the importance of a secure WiFi network?
We help parks of all sizes get a secure WiFi system with our family-friendly filters. Having a public WiFi system means there is always a risk that users could access content that is inappropriate and not family friendly. At Camping Connect we have multiple features in place to ensure our WiFi systems are safe for everyone to use:
Content filtering to block any inappropriate material from being accessed
Family friendly filters to protect your younger guests
Partnerships with leading organisations to make the Internet a safer place
Separate guest networks to keep your personal and business information protected
Who we work with
We are Friendly WiFi approved! Launched in collaboration with The UK Council for Child Internet Safety, the scheme verifies a public WiFi service to make sure a minimum level of filtering is applied to block things like pornographic material and child abuse websites.
Safe DNS provides secure Internet for businesses. They will block inappropriate websites using the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) list. The IWF is working to eliminate child sexual abuse imagery online around the world and make the Internet a safer place.

“It’s frightening when you get 9 policemen turn up at your door”
As a small certified camping location, we used to give out access to our home WiFi network when guests came to stay. This was fine until we had someone staying on site looking at indecent images of children. Suddenly the police appeared at our door one day and confiscated all our computers to be investigated. It’s frightening when you get 9 policemen turn up at your door. This issue went on for months and was a horrible experience for me and my family but luckily they caught the man responsible.
Here’s what I found
Now, with a system from Camping Connect, we’re happy knowing that the system is safe and nobody can access illegal content because we’ve enabled the family friendly filters. The customer service is great because they are there to handle all the guest’s questions. We had an issue out of office hours once but Rhodri dealt with it straight away to make sure it was done for us. As we have full time jobs aside from running the park, it’s great knowing we don’t have to do anything with the WiFi, we hardly know it’s there! Our home network is now faster because we aren’t sharing it with guests on the site. I want to stress the importance for small sites like certified locations not to give out their home network password and to get a separate guest network to avoid any security problems like the one we had to deal with.

“My business isn’t WiFi, my business is a caravan park”
I was dealing with BT for a couple of years trying to get WiFi. Originally they were going to do the plan throughout the park and I had a price for a leased line and the infrastructure on site but last minute they turned around and said ‘oh no we can’t do that’. Long story short, I got sick of them. Last year we had a system in place and it was just complaint after complaint because the speed wasn’t good enough. My business isn’t WiFi, my business is a caravan park. The biggest thing for me with technology is it’s ever-changing. I was looking at a couple of prices to install the WiFi myself but then I thought, well what happens if it changes in 8 months time or 12 months time? I thought this would be an ongoing cost for the rest of my days because technology will change and things will get quicker.
Here’s what I found
I’m not in the business of having hassle. The main reason I chose WiFi with Camping Connect was that they understood and solved my biggest concerns. I didn’t want the responsibility of any security problems and I didn’t want the responsibility of having to change it every 2 or 3 years. The only thing it’s cost me is a bit of time and £97 for the fibre to the premise BT line. I think the system is absolutely superb for my type of business and I think more and more people want it. The WiFi is great because it is no cost to the business.
